Paleo Pen Pals time! I am so excited to present my creation with an ingredient from Grok Grub today! Rachel's culinary creativity is downright inpiring and I love learning from her. This month, she sent me tamarind paste, an ingredient I sent one month to another pen pal. It's payback!
Tamarind paste is super sour and sweet, like a sour date. I mixed it up in one of my favorite drinks, a martini. You can use vodka or gin-- whatever you like best.
The Dirty Tamarindo
1 1/2 ounces vodka or gin
1 ounce vermouth
splash of olive juice
1/3 teaspoon tamarind paste
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add remaining ingredients and shake shake shake! Strain into a martini glass and garnish with olives. Enjoy! It's Friday!
