MAPLE CINNAMON WALNUTS
Here is a simple paleo treat for the fall. These tend to be a little bit sticky so its best to store them in the freezer after they dry.
Maple Cinnamon Walnuts
1 1/2 cups walnuts (I broke mine in pieces)
1/4 c maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Bring the maple syrup to a slight simmer in a small saucepan. Stir in the cinnamon, then the walnuts. Remove from heat and stir until the nuts are thoroughly coated. Line a sheet pan with wax paper and spread with butter. Spread and separate the walnuts out into an even layer on the wax paper to dry. Sprinkle with salt. Let dry completely before transferring to the freezer.
